A RECORD OF FORMULA 3 & SIMILAR SINGLE-SEATER RACING 2009-2011

£60.00

A companion to “A Record of Grand Prix and Voiturette Racing Volume 16″, this covers Formula 3, GP3, Indy Lights, Formula Master and Toyota Racing Series.

The format is our usual one – each race is covered with entry list, grid positions, full results with race times, amounting to over 400 pages. Please note that there are no race descriptions or photographs.

They are printed to order, and supplied hard-bound in black covers in the general style of our other publications, but customers should be aware that the standard of production may be a little below professionally printed standards. Also, because of the need to format and print the records it may take longer than normal to dispatch the order.

The cost is £60 plus postage as above if ordered alone – save £20 when ordered with Volume 16 using this link.

A RECORD OF GRAND PRIX & VOITURETTE RACING Volume 16 2009 – 2011

£80.00

The Formula One Register has produced a new volume in its well-respected history of major single-seater racing, extending the period covered to 2009-2011.

Having decided to suspend the production of Yearbooks, we have looked afresh at the categories included in this volume of “A Record of Grand Prix and Voiturette Racing”. As we have previously observed, the old F1 – F2 – F3 structure of motor racing was eroded during the 21st century by the introduction of several competing classes, such as the Renault backed Formula Renault 3.5 which was a direct competitor to GP2, along with various series using old F3000 cars.

With motor racing more global than ever, it seems wrong to exclude a category simply because it did not run in Europe. Nor is it possible to distinguish what to include on the basis of a formula being the step below Formula 1 when drivers like Räikkönen were plucked straight from Formula Renault.

This volume (360 pages) therefore covers what we might for convenience call “big-engine” formulae (taking into account turbo charging) that are broadly equivalent to being the tier below Formula 1.

  • F1, Indycar, GP2, F3000, Formula Nippon, Formula Renault 3.5, Superleague, A1GP, F2, Auto GP

The next tier, principally Formula 3, is available separately as a “small-engine” supplement. This book costs £60 plus postage if ordered alone – but save £20 when ordering with Volume 16 using this link.

A RECORD OF THE BRITISH HILL CLIMB CHAMPIONSHIP VOLUME 1 1947-2000

£75.00

by Formula One Register with Jerry Sturman

The Formula One Register/St Leonards Press is pleased to announce two new books covering the British Hillclimb Championship from its start in 1947 to 2018.

This is Volume 1 covering 1947-2000

Over this 72 year period the championship has evolved through eras dominated by the Cooper-JAP V-twin in the 1950s, then ex-Formula 1, F5000, F2, FJ chassis and even 4-wheel-drive cars which held sway in the 1960s and 70s before specialist machinery such as Pilbeam, Gould and OMS took over. Similarly, the leading drivers have included names who made their mark elsewhere such as ERA and BRM founder Raymond Mays and legendary all-rounders Ken Wharton and Tony Marsh. More recently, the rather specialised nature of the sport has bred its own particular heroes such as Roy Lane, Martin Groves, Trevor Willis and Scott Moran.

As with other Formula One Register titles, the emphasis is on providing the most comprehensive possible record of every round. For virtually all events, full results are given together with chassis numbers for the majority of cars. A similar record was published by us in 1995, but this first volume has been expanded to include chassis numbers as well as some previously missing information and, following extensive research into the various scoring systems used, revised points tables. In conjunction with Volume 2, such a wealth of detail has never before been published.

Each of the two volumes is hard bound. Volume 1 is almost 410 pages and retails at £75 + £4.50 P&P (UK) or £125 + £7.50 (UK) if ordered together with Volume 2 (use coupon code HCBOTH at checkout)

It may be possible to arrange for books to be collected at events by prior arrangement.

Formula 4 Results Two Seasons Combined

£60.00

In March 2013 the FIA announced the creation of Formula 4 as a stepping stone between karting and F3 for young drivers. It soon became clear that Formula 4 was going to hasten the demise of the few remaining national F3 championships. Although the Formula One Register has not previously covered “fourth-tier” classes, now that there is a FIA recognised structure which, as mentioned, seems to be standing in the place of National Formula 3, we have decided to keep records of Formula 4 results.

We are now able to make these records available on a print-to-order basis, either as single “yearbook” volumes or as a pair of years combined into a single book. Currently available are 2015 2016 2017 2018

If you have specific requirement such as a particular national championship, or any races with a specific driver/team, please email to discuss your requirements

GRAND PRIX Volume 16 & Junior Formulae 2009 – 2011

£120.00

The Formula One Register has produced a new volume in its well-respected history of major single-seater racing, extending the period covered to 2009-2011.

Having decided to suspend the production of Yearbooks, we have looked afresh at the categories included in this volume of “A Record of Grand Prix and Voiturette Racing”. The next tier, principally Formula 3, is available separately as a “small-engine” companion to the above book, this covers F3, GP3, Indy Lights, Formula Master and Toyota Racing Series. The format is the usual entry list, grid and results, amounting to over 400 pages. The book is printed to order and supplied hard-bound in black covers in the general style of our other publications, but customers should be aware that the standard of production may be a little below professionally printed standards.

This book costs £60 plus postage if ordered alone – but save £20 when ordering with Volume 16 using this page.

HISTORIC FORMULA JUNIOR VOLUME 12 (2018)

and

FORMULA 3 500cc & 1000cc

VOLUME 12 (2018)

The next volume in the Formula One Register series documenting Historic Formula Junior and Formula 3 500cc and 1000cc racing is now available, covering the 2018 season.

The format is the same as previous volumes – All Formula Junior races WORLD-WIDE are included. Also included are 1.0 litre and 500cc Formula 3 races.

Each race is covered with entry list, chassis numbers, grid positions, full results with race times and competitors’ fastest laps and for most European races there is a race report. Participation in multi-class races in Australia, New Zealand and the USA are included in a more summarised form, where known. A summary of the Diamond Jubilee Tour is also included.

Published as a Limited Edition of 65 copies, the book runs to over 220 pages, hard bound to match the earlier volumes, fully indexed, numbered and signed.

Indy Lights Results

£60.00

This record covers all eras of the Indy Lights series starting in 1986, running up to the present. We believe that this is a unique record of an important class of racing that is not available anywhere else as a single source of reference, and is a valuable companion to our set of top-tier Indycar-style books. Customers should be aware that it is a copy of our records, as they stand at the time of printing, rather than a book with fixed content. Therefore corrections and additions are very welcome.

The format is our usual one – each race is covered with entry list, grid positions, full results with race times and fully indexed. Please note that there are no race descriptions or photographs.

It is 350 pages and is supplied hard-bound in black covers in the general style of our other publications, but customers should be aware that as these are printed for each order, the standard of production may be a little below professionally printed standards. Also, because of the need to format and print the records it may take longer than normal to dispatch the order.

National Formulae 1950s

£35.00

Our main work “A Record of Grand Prix & Voiturette Racing” covers the top levels of motor racing and we also have comprehensive data on Formula 3 available. However, in the 1950s there were a few categories that sat below Formula 3 albeit often with only a short life span. This new record aims to cover this gap in the Formula One Register’s coverage of single-seater motor racing.

The format of this book is the same as previous Formula One Register publications. Each race covered has an entry list, grid positions, full results with race times as far as it has been possible to ascertain them. However, it must be noted that there are no race descriptions or photographs.

The classes covered are :-

GERMAN KLEINSTRENNWAGEN 750cc

ITALIAN CORSA 750cc

FRENCH MONOMILL

BRITISH 250cc

A copy of this record is available on a print-to-order basis. The book runs to over 100 pages and is delivered hard bound. It retails at £35 + £4.50 post & packing in the UK. Rest of Europe £16.60

South African Formula 1 Championship 1960 – 1975

£60.00

In 1999 the Formula One Register published Peter MacIntosh and Paul Sheldon’s book “A Record of South African Formula 1 Racing”. This provided a magnificent source of hard-to-find entries, grids and results but was less robust on car identities. Over the ensuing 20 years much effort has been put into the latter and an updated version is now available.

Please note that these races have already been incorporated in the 2nd Editions of the “A Record of Grand Prix and Voiturette Racing” series so this book is only likely to be of interest to those relying on the first editions.

The format of this book is the same as previous Formula One Register publications. Each race covered has an entry list including most chassis numbers, a short race report, grid positions, full results with race times as far as it has been possible to ascertain them. However, it must be noted that there are no photographs.

A copy of this record is available on a print-to-order basis. The book runs to over 250 pages and is delivered hard bound. It retails at £60 + £4.50 post & packing in the UK. Rest of Europe P&P £16.60 and USA £23. Please contact us for a quote for other countries.
