The Formula Junior and Formula 3 (including 500cc) Fact Book Series
FORMULA 3 and FORMULA JUNIOR FACT BOOKS
Some 15 to 20 years ago the Formula One Register published a series of Fact Books covering Formula 3 and Formula Junior from 1947 to 1995. The books contain statistics on every known race run to the Formula under consideration. The entry list, including non-starters, comprises the starting numbers where known, driver name, entrant, car name and engine type. Where observed at the time, the chassis number of the car is included. Also printed as far as known is the starting grid with qualifying times and full results including retirements with laps completed by each driver.
The Fact Books differ from the “Record of Grand Prix and Voiturette Racing” series and the Record books on Goodwood and Crystal Palace in that there are no race descriptions or lap charts.
The original books have long been out of stock, however since their publication the Formula One Register has continually up dated the records as new information has become available. Thanks to Duncan’s assiduous collecting, many previously missing entry lists and grids have now been obtained and also the coverage of US races is much increased.
These Fact Books provide an unmatched source of detailed information on these races, way beyond that which was published in magazines at the time.
At some future date these might be republished, but in the meantime we are able to provide on request copies of the records printed and bound loose-leaf style. Each copy is individually printed from the very latest records for the purchaser and signed by one of the authors.
