A RECORD OF GRAND PRIX & VOITURETTE RACING VOLUME 4 (1937-1949) – 2nd EDITION
The Formula One Register continues its project of producing new editions of the well-respected history of major single seater racing with the publication of Volume 4 of this work. This volume has been out of stock for some time.
This covers the fascinating years 1937-1949 finishing just prior to the start of the World Championship.  The opportunity has been taken to include much new information in the light of recent research, particularly on Maseratis, Delahayes and early Ferraris.  Even some previously unrecorded races have been included.
As usual, for the majority of races, the book contains full statistics including entry lists for all races including starting numbers and chassis numbers of many cars.  A starting grid and full results are also included. The book is fully indexed.
All races run to the 750kg Formula, 3/4.5-litre and Formula 1 rules have been included as have races run to the 1500cc, 1.1/2.0-litre and Formula 2 Voiturette regulations.
Many younger Enthusiasts seem not to realise that Formula 1 did not start in 1950 with the World Championship but in 1946 and many races were run to Formula 1 rules !

FORMULA ONE REGISTER YEAR BOOKS
With the seemingly ever expanding and changing number of, often overlapping, formulae, the former distinction of Grand Prix, Formula 2 and 3 no longer works well.  In a new project, the Formula One Register is attempting to bring records right up to date with the publication of Year Books starting in 2000. These will cover all races run to the more important formulae, basically defined as “Formula 3 and above”.  Hence they will include all races run to Formula 1, Indycar, Formula 3000, GP2, Indylights, Formula Nippon, Euro 3000, A1GP, Formula Holden, Formula Super Nissan, World Series by Renault, Formula 2, Formula 3 and GP3 regulations. 
THIS SERIES WILL THEREFORE SUPERSEDE THE GRAND PRIX & VOITURETTE SERIES i.e. there will be no further volume in this series after the current 15.
The aim is to include a full entry list, starting grid and full results for every race. Each book is printed to order hardbound and just over 200 pages long
